Job Description

Position Overview


In this role the Psychologist will assist the Clinical Director in providing oversight and consultation on positive behavior and interaction supports while participating in recurring team meetings as part of the NYSTART Brooklyn team.

Qualifications


  • Ph.D in psychology and licensed in NYS
  • Minimum of 1 year clinical experience working with the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) population
  • Extensive experience with people who have IDD and behavioral health needs
  • Experience developing and implementing positive behavior support plans
  • Must be a certified coordinator or have the ability to complete the START coordinator certification process within 6-12 months of hiring
