Job Description

Position Overview

The Shift Supervisor is responsible for the overall operations of the program or facility during his/her assigned shift.  On evening, nights, holidays and weekend shifts, these duties will be expanded to include supervision of all staff. This position will provide supervisory oversight and training to residential aides and contracted maintenance staff. Supervision includes, but is not limited to, ongoing individual supervisory meetings; building inspections, ongoing feedback regarding job performance; coordinating work schedules, timesheets and requests for time off; coordinating work assignments; evaluating paperwork and documentation including the Security Log and Maintenance Work Order Log books; coordinating security and maintenance staff training, development and evaluation. May be required to fulfill duties of residential aides and/or custodial personnel in their absence.


  • Bachelor's preferred Associates Degree required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Security or Building Maintenance is required.
  • Experience in office management and/or staff supervision is required. Experience working in a large residential/institutional setting with a special needs population is required. Strong writing, interpersonal, and organizational skills required.
  • F-80 is required within 6 months of employment.
  • Driver’s License preferred, not required .
  • Bilingual preferred.
